True Flip game rules manual
Scope
trueflip.co carried the game clients of the True Flip studio. Each title ran on its own host under the domain, and each title published one rules document at /rules. This manual collects those documents as numbered chapters and keeps the section order the original pages used.
Nine titles are recorded under the domain. Six of them carry a complete rules document and appear here as chapters one to six. Two more, Pirate Bay and Tony's Reel, are recorded from their game clients only and are listed without a chapter. The ninth, served from the vw host, answered with a service notice rather than a game. Alongside the game clients the domain ran a set of service endpoints, each with a matching test host; they are listed in the edition record and published no documents.
Terms used in these documents
- Reel
- A vertical strip of symbols. Five reels are used by every documented slot except Day and Night, which runs a four-row, six-reel grid.
- Line
- A fixed path across the reels that pays when it holds a winning combination. The documented counts are 27 lines on Robby the Illusionist and Mining Factory, 15 on StartUp Valley, 20 counted both ways on Day and Night and 3 on Tony's Reel.
- Coin value
- The denomination of a single coin, set from the bet panel. The number of coins staked per spin is fixed by the game: 25 coins on Robby the Illusionist and 30 coins on StartUp Valley.
- Wild
- A symbol that substitutes for other symbols on a line. Mining Factory also documents a Wild+ that substitutes for High symbols only, and Day and Night documents two rival Wilds, one for each side of the grid.
- Scatter
- A symbol that pays or triggers free spins from anywhere on the reels instead of on a line. StartUp Valley restricts its Scatter and Experience symbols to the base game.
- Free spins
- Rounds played at the currency and bet that triggered them. The StartUp Valley and Day and Night documents both state that their free spins cannot be retriggered.
- Return to Player
- The theoretical return stated by each document: 95 per cent for Robby the Illusionist, 96.38 per cent for Day and Night and 96.48 per cent for StartUp Valley, rising to 96.56 per cent when its bonus round is bought.

Recorded titles
Start with the chapter for the title you need. Where a document stated a Return to Player figure it is reproduced below; where it did not, the column reads Not stated rather than an estimate.

Playing a round
Every documented title follows the same sequence. Individual differences are noted at each step and repeated in full in that title's chapter.
- Choose the betting currency from the switcher at the top of the game panel. Chain's Code settles every transaction in bitcoin whichever display currency is selected.
- Set the coin value. The number of coins staked per spin is fixed by the game and cannot be changed.
- Set the multiplier where the game offers one. Chain's Code allows up to x100 and moves the bet price in proportion.
- Press Play or Spin. The stake is debited from the balance and the round begins.
- While the reels turn, the Spin control becomes Stop. Pressing it settles the reels immediately.
- The round ends when the result is displayed. A winning amount is credited to the balance without any further action.
- Autoplay repeats the current settings for a chosen number of rounds. Chain's Code documents up to 100 automatic spins, and some client versions stop the run at a preset loss limit.
Calculating a line win
The slot documents describe the same arithmetic. Chain's Code and Magic Dice settle on a combination or a range instead and are covered in their own chapters.
- Count the identical symbols standing in sequence on the line, starting from the leftmost reel. Day and Night counts its lines in both directions.
- Three or more identical symbols on a line pay. Read the coin value for three, four, five or six in a row from the game's winning table.
- Only the highest winning combination on a line is paid.
- Where a combination opens with three Wilds and can be read more than one way, only the highest reading is paid.
- Add every paying line together to reach the total coin win.
- Multiply the total coin win by the coin value to convert it into the account currency.
- Scatter symbols pay from anywhere on the reels and are not counted along a line.
